Transfer of data to third parties

We only disclose personal data to the extent necessary to fulfil the aforementioned purposes or where there is a legal obligation to do so. Service providers are carefully selected and contractually obliged to comply with data protection requirements.

 

Transfer of data abroad

Data will only be transferred to countries outside Switzerland or the EU/EEA if:

  • the Federal Council or the EU has issued an adequacy decision, or
  • appropriate safeguards are in place (e.g. standard contractual clauses).

For transfers to the USA, we rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (where applicable) or on standard contractual clauses.

 

Server log files

When you visit our website, data (e.g. IP address, browser type, operating system, date/time of access) is automatically collected for technical reasons and stored in log files. This processing is carried out to ensure system security (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR / Art. 31(2)(c) revDSG).

Google Analytics

Our website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited. Google Analytics helps us to analyse user behaviour on our website and improve our offerings. In doing so, personal data such as IP addresses, browser information and length of stay on the website are collected and transmitted to Google servers, mainly in the USA.

Within the framework of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), data processing only takes place on the basis of your express consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR), which you can give via our consent tool. The revised Swiss Data Protection Act (nDSG) requires, in particular, transparency towards users and the observance of rights such as the revocation of consent.

We use the IP anonymisation function of Google Analytics, which shortens the IP addresses of users within the EU and Switzerland before they are transmitted to Google. You can revoke your consent at any time with future effect by adjusting the cookie settings on our website.

A data processing agreement (DPA) has been concluded with Google to ensure compliance with data protection requirements.

Newsletter

We use SwissNewsletter software, provided by mailXpert GmbH, Schulstrasse 37, 8050 Zurich, Switzerland, to send our newsletter. mailXpert’s servers are located in certified and secure data centres in Switzerland.

Your email address and any other information you provide (e.g. name) will be stored and processed for the purpose of sending the newsletter. Data processing is carried out exclusively for the purpose of sending the newsletter, evaluating the success of the mailing (unsubscribes, opens, clicks) and optimising our newsletter offering. The data will not be passed on to third parties.

SwissNewsletter (mailXpert) acts on our behalf as a processor. There is a corresponding agreement for order processing in accordance with the DSG/GDPR. Your data is stored and processed on secure servers in Switzerland. In addition, mailXpert’s systems meet high technical and organisational security requirements, including ISO 27001:2022.

Your data is processed and stored exclusively in Switzerland. No data is transferred to third countries.

Recipients of the newsletter can unsubscribe at any time via a link included in the newsletter. You also have the right to access, correct and delete your personal data stored by us. Please direct any further data protection questions to our contact details provided.

 

Handling applications

As part of the application process, we may collect the following personal data:
